Plan on taking great quality pictures to display on your website or other portfolio? You will need great Photo Tent Lighting for this, let me show you how I created great studio pictures with my own photo tent light box design. First of all you don't need many supplies to create your photo tent, and for the size it can be as big as you would like. Remember the larger the photo tent box is, the harder it's going to be to fold it up and use for transportation. I have multiple custom photo tent kits created, some are just for indoors and some are for traveling with so they can easily fold up when needed.

These are the supplies you will need to make your photo tent light box

A Box
Fabric
Tape
Glue
White Bristol Board
Lights
Extras: Tape ruler, straight edge, and scissors

Creating your Photo Tent Light Box. Follow these steps to create your photo tent lighting.
Measure 2 inches from the side of the box with your ruler and mark each point. When finished, connect the points using a straight edge and you will have a square or rectangle in the middle of the box that should have a 2 inch border around it.You will not need to mark the top or bottom of the photo tent box.

Next you will cut out the squares that you drew on the photo tent light box, you want to repeat this for the sides as well. Once done cutting out the boxes drawn, cut the top of the box off or remove the flaps but remember to leave the bottom together.

Take the Bristol board and draw lines every two inches with your marker, you need to do this 16 times. Now cut out 16 strips with the scissors. Glue the strips you cut out to the box but make sure the side with the marker is against the cardboard so it's not in sight.

Your box should now be starting to look like a photo tent light box. Place the piece of Bristol board inside the box, curve it so it is diagonally placed in the box. Now cut the fabric where it will cover the wholes, then cut a large piece where it will cover the top of the box. Cover the holes by taping the fabric to the top and sides and you should be done!

You now have a custom made photo tent light box. Remember you can do this with any sized boxes, you wont be able to fold these up but with certain materials you can put together a flexible photo tent light box. The photo tent lighting should be showing well and bright so your pictures will come out looking very crisp.
