Hate Your Job? Well Your Job Might Hate You Too!
Do You Hate your job? Yea me too, it's stressful and I hated it.
And I wasn't not alone; statistic show high stress levels increase the risk of cardiovascular disease by causing prolonged high blood pressure and a way faster heart rate.
The link between stress and heart diseases was established by the Whitehall one and Whitehall two studies.
These were really long studies carried out on thousands of civil servants working in Whitehall in the UK.
The White hall study was carried on 18000 civil servants and set up in 1967.
The study was set up to prove a fantasy that senior staff meaning the Big Bs would be under greater stress because of their added responsibilities, and so more likely to be affected by heart diseases.
But the results showed that people that were more likely to die relatively young of heart disease if they were in one of the lower levels of the civil service, yea no surprise there.
This study is a continuous endeavour, but the early results suggest that it is not the stress of a high-profile job that is the risk factor, but rather the stress of having a job with very little control over one's life or control over what they do at work.
Although senior staffs are making bigger decisions and probably more important ones, it looks like they have a lot more control over what they do, and this is better for their cardiovascular health.
So by sleeping with your enemy it looks like:

So by sleeping with your enemy it looks like:
- You'll have less control over your life
- Have prolonged stress
- Have a risky increase in cardiovascular disease and as a bonus
- you die relatively young in the process
