Lists - How They Work and Why They"re Important
Today I'm going to talk about how to use lists and why they are important.
I'll be focusing on Twitter and Facebook as both are widely known and used.
Let us begin! TwitterList The goal of Twitter is to gain as many followers as possible so as to have maximum exposure for your business, quotes, ideas, etc.
Try and follow people who are in the same industry as you; this will give you a great following and lots of ideas that you can "borrow" of them as well.
Now, once you get into Twitter and start following more and more people you will quickly find out how useless your homepage has become.
It is flooded with spam and gibberish posted by everyone and their dog! This is where lists come in.
On your "Home" page in Twitter you will see the following: When you click on "Lists" and then you will have the option to "Create a list".
This is exactly what we want to do.
Now, the type of lists you create depends on your tastes..
I have a list called "Favs" with my favorite Tweeters who tweet pretty much only inspiring quotes.
You could also have lists like the following:
Facebook List The most widely used Social Media Network in the world! Take advantage of it.
Now on the left hand side of your Facebook page, you will see a whole bunch of sections..
groups, apps, lists.
That's the one we want - lists! Hover over "LISTS" and click "MORE" when it appears.
You will come to a page titled "Lists" and see a button on the top left-hand side that says "+ Create List".
This is exactly what we want to do; create a list (or a few to be more accurate).
Here are some examples of lists you might want to create as a Network Marketer:
Check back on your "Successful People" often to get great ideas, look at your "New Prospects/Friends" list to remember to stir up a conversation with someone you just recently added to Facebook (whom you would have completely forgotten about had you not put them on that list!).
This is VERY important as the name of the game is "relationships".
You need to build relationships and trust with anyone who is going to be a prospective team member.
