Becoming an Entrepreneur in the Health-Wellness Industry

There's always been a lot of talk and discussion, especially recently with the continuing souring economy, about whether it's better to stay the course, and maintain the employee status amongst all the downsizing, Reduction-in-Force (RIF) cutbacks, and slowdowns that continue to plague today's world economies.

It can be a daunting task; you've got a spouse, perhaps a child, a mortgage and a couple of vehicles. But you can see a better way, even though it might be way outside your current comfort window. But just think; no more commute in the early morning (dark in the winter months both ways), missing small fry's birthday parties, going to their school for lunch and other events.

With severance package in hand, it might seriously be worth considering taking that giant leap of faith into self-employment and becoming an Entrepreneur in the Health-Wellness Industry (or whatever business-industry you'd like to follow). I'll lay out a couple of ideas along that line here.

So, decisions, decisions. First up, of course is "…can I do this". Emphatically the answer is Yes! (As long as you believe you can). The downside is that you may have to pay taxes twice: first as the employer, and secondly as an employee of that business.

One of the biggest, burgeoning industries in the modern era appears to be the health industry. So what should that new business focus on in the Health-Wellness industry ? I assume you didn't graduate from medical school, you aren't a pharmacist, chiropractor, EMT or other healthcare professional ? So perhaps servicing those professions from a sales, or supplier perspective might be just down your street ? Certainly there are a lot of folks pounding the sidewalk looking into potentially becoming Entrepreneurs in the Health-Wellness Industry.

Lots of upside now, especially since Obamacare has suddenly taken root (even though it may not be very popular). And there could be a strong learning curve ahead. Bear in mind, this may not be a short-term gain, but a long-term business decision for you AND your family. Equipped with a vision that you've already written down (like a mission statement), and a freshly created business plan that includes financial data, should you choose to follow your own advice, it won't be long before your muttering "why didn't I do this earlier" under your breath. Stand fast: creating a heathier lifestyle might be closer than you think

Supplement therapy, along with some of the most-popular buzz words (oxidative stress, aging process, aging, etc.) spring to mind. As we strive to withdraw from the current pharmaceutical-level craze of "Prescription, please!" when we go to see the doctor, a smart strategy might be to investigate more fully, this multi-billion dollar (and growing) industry.
