Max Payne 2 PC Requirements
- These are the lowest possible hardware requirements needed to run the game: 1 GHz Pentium III / Athion or 1.2GHz Celeron or Duron processor or equivalent, 256 MB RAM, 32 MB DirectX 9 compatible AGP graphics card with hardware T&L support. While the game should run smoothly at minimums, it will not take advantage of the games full visual capabilities.
- Meeting or surpassing this configuration will allow you to experience the game at its maximum potential, both visually and framerate wise: 1.4 GHz Athion or 1.7 GHz Pentium 4, Celeron or Duron processor or equivalent, 512 MB RAM, 64 MB DirectX 9 Compatible Graphics AGP graphics card with HW T&L support.
- There are a variety of user made texture packs available online that will enhance the quality of the games textures. Applying these will put more strain on the game and should only be used with a system that meets or surpasses the recommended system requirements.
- While Max Payne 2 plays perfectly with the default mouse and keyboard control schemes, some players prefer to use a third-party controller. Max Payne 2 is compatible with most controller configurations.
- Third-party tweaks have enabled Max Payne to be used with dual monitor configurations. As these tweaks are unofficial, some in-game scenes may not display properly.
- Adding modifications and other user made content will increase the size of the games folder. Be sure you have the hard drive space required for all downloads.
