Stop Thinking About The Golf Swing And Just Swing The Golf Club

It should be common knowledge that golf is a very mental game.
However sometimes over thinking your golf swing can cause more problems than helping the shot.
Keeping a clear mind on the golf course can help lower your score and improve your game.
Imagine the unneeded stress that you can put on yourself when you keep thinking about a bad shot that you had on the last hole.
Or you keep trying to think of the proper stance and proper form to take as you set up for your golf swing.
All of these thoughts running through your mind can keep you from making a great golf shot.
What you need to do is keep a clear mind and focus on your existing shot.
Don't think about the bad shot you had on the last hole, or that you should have hit a 5-wood instead of the driver.
That shot was in the past.
Move on and make the next shot a great shot.
In order to clear your mind from the thoughts of how to manage your golf swing it is very important to practice all aspects of your golf swing on a regular basis.
Practice your stance for each club over and over until it becomes automatic.
Practice the grip that works for you.
Always keep your head down and eyes on the ball.
Go over all these actions as much as possible.
Practice on the driving range or in your backyard.
Just keep practicing until the basics come to you on auto-pilot.
Once your golf swing becomes natural you can approach your shot with a clear mind.
No more over thinking, just walk up, line up and do your thing.
You will believe in your shot instead of worrying about your shot.
Eliminating this worrying will eliminate the extra tension in your swing and create much better game for you.
When you receive tips and advice from golf instructors or golf pros, you will need to think and act upon the advice to allow it to help your swing; however you should make the adjustments during your practice sessions instead of when you are on the course.
Once these adjustments to your swing become second nature you can head to the course with confidence and a clear mind.
Playing a round of golf with a clear mind and improved confidence will help lower your handicap and allow you to have a lot more fun while playing.
So stop thinking and just take the shot.
