How Do You Get Someone To Take Action In Your Business?
Why do I have to take action?
I would say that this starts at a young age with your parents telling you what to do. For some, we simply did what they told us to do (hopefully you were one of them) because they were our parents. But for others, this may not have been the case.
Either way, at some point, we probably hit a point in our lives that we started to come into our own and really we're all too keen on that idea any more. So at that point, there may have been some kind of a trade off. Maybe they said, if you clean your room, you can go out with your friends or something along those lines.
And at that point, they found a way to get you to take action (or maybe you're doing this now with your children). In theory, it seems like someone got the upper hand, but this isn't the case at all. You can look back at history through today and this is how things work in the world. This is how we get people totake action.
Well, I think we know our answer – we need to Make an Offer. Now some of you are saying "I have to do something for someone else in order for them to do something?" Um, yes. If you thought there was another way, you're likely going to get minimal results.
Now, I'm not saying you have to do this all the time. But you do need to realize that you need to provide some kind of value to others to get something in return. And you should make sure that you are ALWAYS providing more value that what you are expecting in return.
You know the old saying, you get back in return what you give. It's absolutely true. But for me, I want to give more. That's just the way I work and that's the motto that I follow. It helps me grow as a person and has gotten me to where I am today.
Like I said, I like to put more of myself out there, because I know the world will give it back to me in some form. For me, it's not about the money, its about making a difference and an impact on others. But I also know that I need to make an offer to get others to Take Action.
