Click on any specific vehicle in the list for an immediate free Carfax report and dealership contact information.
- 3). Pre-pay for a set number of Carfax reports if a free report is not available, or if you are buying from a private seller. Use the service when you are ready to make a purchase by entering the car's Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the website. Many car shoppers don't only consider one car before buying. The Carfax service gives you the option of paying up front to access between one and five reports within 60 days.
