An Educational Alternative For Figure Skaters:

At the American School of Correspondence, figure skaters can earn a fully-accredited high school diploma. Students are able to work at their own pace, at home or at the rink, which takes pressure off of figure skaters.

Cost:

The complete American School high school program costs just $1399. Tuition can be paid in low monthly payments of $50 per month.

The price includes all textbooks, study guides, supplemental study materials, and hand-written grading done by qualified teachers.

Educational Options:

Both college preparatory and general education options are available. Students have the option of completing the program in four, five, or six years. If a student does not want to enroll for four years, tuition for one year is $589.

Enrollment:

Students may enroll anytime. Figure skaters should consider enrolling in the American School of Correspondence when they are ready to enter 9th Grade.

Accreditation and Recognition:

The American School of Correspondence is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, the Illinois State Board of Education, and The Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation. The school's graduates have been accepted by many colleges and universities.

History:

The school is one of the oldest and largest educational correspondence institutions in the world.

Independent Study Option:

Figure skaters who wish to take only a few supplemental subjects, can enroll for individual courses.

Some online classes are also available.

Curriculum:

Over seventy subjects are offered by The American School.

Famous Graduates:

Some of the graduates of the American School of Correspondence include entertainers Donny Osmond and Marie Osmond, The Everly Brothers, actress Jessica Alba, and tennis Olympian Mary Pierce.

2008 and 2009 US Pair Skating Champion and 2007 Junior World Pair Skating Champion, Keauna McLaughlin, attended the school. Another figure skater, Deanna Stellato, who won silver at the 2000 Junior World Figure Skating Championships, is and American School graduate.
