The WikiLeaks founder has now taken shelter in the Ecuador embassy. Assange fears that his extradition to Sweden will eventually lead to his execution in America for the €political crimes'. Julian Paul Assange is back in news after taking shelter in the embassy of Ecuador. The UK government has been trying hard to extradite Mr Assange to Sweden. He is facing allegations of sexual assault. He denies of the allegations made by the two women from Stockholm. According to Assange once he is extradited to Sweden there are high chances that he will be sent to United States of America to face the charges slapped against him by American government. It is the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations that has stopped the UK government to take action against Assange. According to the convention the host country cannot enter the premises of the embassy (Ecuador in this case); without its permission. Also Julian Assange has said that he would file a case against the government of UK in the International Court of Justice for their act. Assange fears that once he is extradited to America, they might execute him for the perceived €political crimes'.

Julian Assange is a computer programmer who is internationally known for his work with WikiLeaks. WikiLeaks in the year 2010 published around 251,000 American diplomatic cables. Out of these documents close to 40% were €Confidential' and around 6 % were declared as Classified. During this period Assange was living in Australia. When the enquiry was initiated against WikiLeaks from Australian side, there was no way through which WikiLeaks or for that matter Julian Assange could be declared as criminal. It was the United States Department of Justice that launched the criminal investigation with reference to the diplomatic cables leaked by WikiLeaks. Following which the Swiss Bank seized the assets of Julian Assange on the pretext that he had provided false address of his residence. Also all the donations made to WikiLeaks through Visa, Paypal or other sources were seized.
To keep the organisation floating and to take care of the financial requirement of the legal matter he decided to publish an autobiography. The publishing rights for the proposed autobiography were sold for one million pounds. The title of the autobiography is €Julian Assange-The Unauthorised Autobiography€ which was published in the year 2011.The autobiography has been written by Andre O'Hagan.
