How to Find a DMV Office
- 1). Search online. Some websites, such as DMV.org, offer a DMV office finder. Simply type in the town and state, or the ZIP code, in which you'd like to find an office, and the search engine produces a list of nearby DMV offices.
- 2). Visit your local DMV website. A simple Google search of "DMV (town, state)" or using a website like OnlineDMV.com makes it easy to find and access the website for the DMV site desired. Once on the OnlineDMV.com website, you will be prompted to help you find a list of locations. This information can usually be found under the heading, "Locations," "Find a Local Office," or "Contact Us."
- 3). Call your local DMV office. Use a phone book to look up the phone number for the Department of Motor Vehicles. The White Pages usually has a separate area for government listings. Try looking under "Motor Vehicles" or "Department of Motor Vehicles." Call the phone number. Many DMVs will have an automatic menu that will provide locations, as well as the hours, of their offices.
