How to Remove Duplicate Emails in Outlook Express
- 1). Download the free trial of Remove Duplicates from Outlook Express (see References below). Make sure to test the software first before purchasing it. The free trial lasts for 30 days and will still delete all duplicate emails in your Outlook Express, but it will only let you delete five at a time.
- 2). Install the program. Click on your "Start" button and then click on the "Programs" option. Find the "MAPILab" icon and click on it. Choose the option to install Remove Duplicates from Outlook Express.
- 3). Click on the "Next" button and then read the terms and agreement. Click on the "Yes" button, and the software will install. Click on the "Finish" button to complete the installation. Save the program to your desktop and close out of the pop-up box.
- 4). Click on the Remove Duplicates from Outlook Express icon from your desktop to run the program. At the top of the application, choose the time span of the search through your email history. You can choose from a day to a week to as far back as you'd like. Click on the "Run Now" button at the top of the screen, and the program will begin to look for all duplicates in your Outlook Express.
- 5). Click on the option to sort the deleted emails that have been found. Choose to delete, delete permanently, mark with flag or copy and move to a new folder. With the free trial you can only remove five duplicates at a time, but you can continue the searching process to remove all of your duplicate emails.
