      Kentucky has beautiful mountain scenery and rugged ATV trails spread throughout the state. Many of these trails have challenges that make the ATV adventure fun for beginners and those who are considered pros. Whether you spend one day or a few days riding the trails, you are sure to have some fun along the way. Each park has its own rules and regulations that should be read carefully before your ATV riding adventure.

    Big Rock Off Road Park

    • Big Rock Off Road Park has close to 2,000 acres of trails with mud bogs and other challenges. The scenic trails include hilltop views of the Ohio River. There are RV hookups, cabins and primitive camping facilities. Minors need parental permission before riding on any of the trails. ATV riders are required to wear helmets at all times and riders must sign waivers.

    Dirty Turtle Offroad

    • Dirty Turtle Offroad has 270 acres of scenic trails. There are peewee, ARV and MX tracks available. The trail system here is not rated because there are too many variables that can have an effect on the rating. Weather conditions, the type of vehicle and the experience level of the driver all play a role in the difficulty of the trails. Visitors must sign a waiver stating that they understand the risks involved in ATV riding. No alcoholic beverages, drugs, drug paraphernalia or firearms are permitted on the property. DOT-approved helmets must be worn by ATV riders at all times.

    Copperhead Run ATV Park

    • Copperhead Run ATV Park is 600 scenic acres of hills and trails that range from easy to moderately challenging. There are mud bogs, hills and rocks to add some fun to your ATV riding adventure. Primitive camping facilities are available for those who want to spend some extended time. The park is open to ATVs and motorcycles, but as of March 2010, three-wheelers are not permitted. Helmets that are DOT approved are required while operating a vehicle. Reckless driving and speeding are not allowed in the park, and offenders may be banned from Copperhead Run. Riding is not permitted after dark.
