How to Layout a Trophy Placard
- 1). Sketch what you would like the placard to look like. Check with the trophy manufacturer to see what type styles and artwork are available and work these into your sketches. Work on several designs, then choose the best one.
- 2). Imagine you are receiving the trophy and what would be meaningful in its design and wording. Check websites for pictures of trophies and fresh ideas: a simple search under "Trophies" will provide images.
- 3). Determine what the background should be. Choices range from gold and silver plate to brass, colored metals, and glass.
- 4). Design additional plates to attach to the trophy to record the names of future winners, or milestone dates.
- 5). Order the placard. When all of the details are in complete, place the order, allowing plenty of time for finishing and delivery.
