Arianna and Victor
Arianna comes to the park and leaves a phone message for someone, asking him or her to call. Victor approaches her and notes that she seems upset, telling her she made a wise decision in breaking up with Brady. Arianna tells him to go to hell. Victor believes he and Arianna are a lot alike, since they both know what they want and how to go after it without letting sentiment get in the way.
Maggie’s House
Philip admits to Melanie that out of all the friends he’s ever had, she understands him the most. He refers to her as a great friend and hugs her. He is about to kiss her until Brady walks in. “Oh I’m sorry am I interrupting something?” quips Brady. Melanie states that Philip came by to apologize for thinking she put the video online. Philip thanks Brady for getting it off the Internet. Brady is only sorry he couldn’t get it off before Stephanie saw it, but believes it seems to be working out pretty good, noting that Philip’s already moved onto his next conquest.
Melanie defends Philip as Brady blasts him for taking advantage of her while on the rebound. Brady is disgusted at Philip for breaking Stephanie’s heart and now making the moves on Melanie, wondering if he even cares about either of the women. Philip admits that he messed up and hurt two women he cared about deeply, but has no regrets about spending the night with Melanie.
After Philip leaves, Brady apologizes for making Melanie upset.
He asks if she’s still in love with Philip. Melanie states that just because she sleeps with somebody doesn’t mean she’s in love with them. Brady suspects that Melanie is hoping Philip will fall in love with her now that he and Steph are over. Melanie denies being interested and wonders why Brady cares so much. Brady says it’s because he’s her friend and he doesn’t want to see her get hurt. She wonders if he doesn’t have his own love life to worry about. He reveals that Arianna broke things off. Arianna soon arrives and insists that she just came by to make sure Melanie was okay after the video ordeal. She offers to get going. Brady agrees to leave instead, but Arianna says it’s not necessary. “Why would I want to stay?” he retorts.
Melanie asks Arianna if she really broke up with Brady and if she’s lost her mind. She thought things were going so well with Brady. Arianna claims it wasn’t that serious, since they just started dating. She believes she’s not good enough for him, which Brady overhears. Brady apologizes for interrupting, but says he can’t find the 12-step brochures he came there to look for. Ari nervously asks Brady to pretend that he doesn’t see her if they run into each other across town. Brady agrees to do just that.
Melanie later helps Brady find the brochures, and he thanks her. She believes that Arianna’s lying if she says she doesn’t love him.
Philip and Victor
Philip arrives at the K mansion to pick up the rest of his things and encounters Victor. He implores his father to tell him what a screw up he is. “All I have to say is ‘bravo,’” declares Victor. Philip is incredulous to hear this from his father after years of seeking his approval. Victor is glad Philip and Stephanie are done, insisting that she pressured Phil into leaving his business, family, and home. Philip clarifies that he made that decision on his own. Victor encourages him not to move out.
Victor agrees to let Philip come back on his own terms, even if it means Philip busts tables at the Brady Pub. “How many Scotches have you had, Dad?” asks a puzzled Philip. “You think I have to be drunk to know what’s in my heart?” retorts Victor, who admits that the older he gets, the more he realizes he wants his family around him. Victor professes to love Philip and just wants him to have a good life. Philip professes to love his dad as well and embraces him. He agrees to give it a try with moving back in, considering he’s jobless and broke. Philip thanks his dad for wanting him there, even though Victor knows he won’t be working at Titan.
Java Café
Mia is typing in her journal, admitting that she still has feelings for Chad. Will is nearby as she writes that she and Chad share a bond which can never be broken. She accidentally spills her water and goes to fetch some napkins. Will approaches her laptop and sees what she’s written. Mia confronts Will over reading her journal, reminding him that it’s private. Will asks if she still cares about Chad, and she says no, but Will doesn’t believe it.
Mia continues to insist that there’s nothing going on between her Chad. Will brings up the dance at the Cheatin’ Heart and recalls how she and Chad were staring at one another. He feels like he can’t trust her anymore.
Mia takes Will’s hand and doesn’t know what to say to make him trust her. Will wonders if there are any other secrets she wants to tell him. He walks out when she can’t bring herself to share what secret she’s keeping.
Bo and Hope’s House
Justin and Dean struggle on the floor with one another to get the gun. Hope yells at Ciara to get upstairs. She retrieves her gun, but is shoved against the fireplace mantle by Dean and knocked out. Ciara rushes to her mommy’s side. Justin attacks Dean again and they struggle on the ground. Hope soon awakens with an injury to her forehead and sees that Justin’s been shot. An angry Dean stands up and points the gun at her, ordering her not to move. She protects Ciara and calls for Justin to wake up, then lashes out at Dean for killing an innocent man. Dean warns that allowing her husband to ignore the ransom was a “colossal mistake.” Hope reminds Dean that the money has already been wired into his account and he can walk out of there a rich man. She yells out Bo’s name and screams at Ciara to run. She fights to get the gun from Dean.
Ciara goes out the door, but Dean orders her to get back in the house. “Get your filthy hands off my daughter!” yells Hope as she picks up Ciara. Dean threatens to kill Hope if she tries a stupid move like that again. “Then you’d better pray to God you kill me! You touch one hair on my daughter’s head and I’ll kill you myself!” sneers Hope. Justin is barely moving.
