Searching for the Perfect Golf Swing Part 3: Commitment Plans - Execution Element I

103 8
Golfers in search of the perfect golf swing must consider the execution element of the commitment plan very carefully.
Committing too much time to the wrong elements will be counterproductive and most likely cause you to deviate from the plan or just drop the plan all together.
The golfer should take their execution deficiencies ONE-AT-A-TIME starting with the short game.
Over 50% of your golf strokes will occur around the green.
This makes it the most important part of your golf game to include as part of the execution element of your plan.
The short game consists of chipping the ball on the green and putting the ball into the hole.
Sounds simple enough but the short game is where most golfers fail to execute properly.
Since putting the ball in the hole is the last thing we usually do(chip ins and hole outs from the fairway do happen from time to time), that is where the golfer should begin to examine what deficiencies he or she has in that part of their game.
The golfer's putting should be one of the first execution elements to be addressed in the plan.
As part of finding that perfect golf swing, the golfer also has to develop that perfect putting stroke.
  Develop a good putting stroke.
Start practicing hitting the 3 to 4 foot putts on the practice green.
Spending more time on the practice green before and after each round of golf will eventually pay dividends when facing those 3 to 4 footers on the playing greens.
Once you have gained enough confidence on the putting surface, begin to address your chipping deficiencies.
Place several balls just off the putting surface and select a chipping club that feels comfortable in your hands and gives you the best chance to execute the shot.
Chipping has its own golf swing with a careful balance between the "feel" of the shot and executing the shot makes finding the perfect chipping golf swing something that every golfer is trying to achieve.
There is no doubt that any golfer that is able to find the perfect golf swings around the greens will be the one that scores lower and lower each and every time they play a round of golf.
