There are two distinct skills that MUST BE DEVELOPED if you expect to build a large duplicating sales team.
(1) Prospect & Recruiting
(2) Developing People
So how are you personally doing in these 2 critical areas?
The problem is, those that have a natural ability to recruit and prospect effectively are usually lousy at developing people (In their minds they have no special abilities and all people should be able to prospect and recruit as effectively as they do)
They feel people in their organization are lazy and unproductive. In most cases this isn't true. The fact is t they need someone to take a more directional leadership posture with them. The problem is not them, it is you!
Telling people, to give you a call, you will be happy to help them out, IS NOT WHAT THEY NEED. They need a specific, step-by-step game plan to follow. The truth is, many people are SPINNING THEIR WHEELS because they have what I call the go sikum training program.
There feeling is that because they were able to go into the market place and immediately start recruiting new customers, everyone should be able to. Sorry, it doesn't work that way.
Those that are very good a nurturing, encouraging, directing and developing people, usually are lousy at prospecting and recruiting so they rarely have any new team members to work with. These people tend to put together a very small organization of followers and end up trying to make people into leaders that have no desire to be one.
The first step to improving is simply having the AWARENESS that you need to get better.
If you continue to do what you are doing now, how will your business look in 2 years, 3 years, 5 years? For those of you that are progressing each and every month, the idea of what your business will look like in the future is very exciting.
However many of our associates are simply SPINNING THEIR WHEELS.
Those that are great natural prospectors and recruiters seem to be building a leg and losing a leg over and over continuously. Many times you feel like you are the only one in your organization that is productive. You must realize that there are changes you need to make. If you continue doing what you have always done, you will get what you have always gotten!
Others are stagnating in their recruiting and prospecting efforts. Some of you reading this feel that you have a great future ahead of you in your mlm program, but you haven't personally sponsored anyone in the last 60 days!
Who are you fooling? There is a verse in the Bible that says "To thy own self be true".
Sometimes these same people leave their company and jump into the latest, hottest, new deal. If a person can not recruit people into their program, what makes them think they we be able to attract people into the latest greatest deal? Sometimes people's lack of logic is astounding!
You must master the skills and attitudes necessary to consistently enroll 5-10 new members each month. Have you developed that skill yet? If not there are usually two areas where you need improvement.
1. Your prospecting systems. Many times the reason people have trouble consistently recruiting is the simple fact that they aren't getting the opportunity and product in front of enough new people on a daily, weekly, monthly basis.
Develop and practice as many recruiting and prospecting games as possible. Referrals, small classified ads, drop cards, direct mail and postcards, bulletin board flyers, pay per click search engines, etc. Constantly test new low cost prospecting and recruiting methods to get your usiness in front of as many new prospects each week as possible. 2. If you are going through large numbers every month and still having trouble enrolling 5 -10 new people every month, then the area you need to pay close attention to is your communication skills. Communication starts with the ability to LISTEN, that is why God gave us two ears and one mouth, so we could learn to listen, half as much as we talk!
The truth is, most distributors don't talk to enough people and when they do, they say way too much! There are books and courses you can take on the art of listening, and if the classic "How to Win Friends and Influence People" is not part of your library, it should be. If you have already read it, maybe it is time to read it again?

To get new distributors off on the right track, it always should start with your new associate putting together a warm market list.
I cannot stress this enough! When you enroll a new distributor that wants to build a business you must put together a specific game plan. A set of assignments for them to follow. New distributors don't need encouragement and support as much as they need specific step-by-step direction!
