Daniel has Regina send him a rocket from the boat. Through this experiment, it seems that time moves slower on the island. The clock in the rocket is 31 minutes ahead of the clock Daniel had on the island.

Sayid seems to find significance in a bracelet he removes from Naomi's wrist when he covers her body with a blanket. He wants to get off the island and makes a deal with Frank that if Sayid brings Charlotte back from Locke safely, Frank will take him off the island.

Sayid allows Miles to go with him, and Kate goes too. They go to the Barracks, where they find Hurley tied up. Hurley says that Locke's group had left him and suggests they go to Ben's house. At Ben's house, Locke's group captures Kate, Sayid, and Miles. They lock Sayid in the game room with Ben. Locke tells Sayid that Ben has a spy on the boat.

Sayid convinces Locke to let him take Charlotte to Frank. Locke allows the two of them to leave. Sayid takes Naomi's body and leaves on the helicopter with Desmond and Frank.

Kate is captured by Sawyer and they hang out in Ben's bedroom. Kate wants to get off the island, but Sawyer doesn't. He wants them to live on the island.

In flash forwards, working for Ben, Sayid kills people who are on a list. Sayid begins a relationship with Elsa in order to get to her boss. Ben has ordered Sayid to kill Elsa's boss. When the time comes, Sayid warns Elsa in order to get her out of harm's way, but it turns out that Elsa had known all along and her job had been to find out who Sayid works for.

Sayid doesn't tell her and she ends up shooting him. He shoots her and kills her.
