The Terrible Reality of Making Money Online Via MLM

Multi level marketing appears to be both a good and bad thing. By now you probably know what it is. It's the business model that, at first glance, looks like a pyramid scheme.

You hire people to work under you and they do the same until it continues on to other people. Anyone who works at the top or bottom of the pyramid will receive a portion of the sales that are made. However, nothing seems to work in that manner. This shows that it would be wise to figure out what is really going on with MLM before you get knee deep into it.

One of the worst lies told by MLMers is the "you can do this in your spare time" lie. If the things that they were saying were not made up, the multi level marketing industry would be on top of the world instead of falling on its face.

If the basic concept of the pyramid was viable, then this would be a good plan. After all, the premise is that you have to bring on other people so that they can take on the work, while you get paid. But the problem is that everybody focuses on hiring and nobody actually works so nobody earns money. Also, an income worth earning cannot be done in your spare time. Doing a good job will take time, effort and commitment.

Those who are in multi level marketing think of it as a good thing. But it is really fear that drives this industry. It makes people think that multi level marketing is the only way to make it because of the small job market. They use this to drive the desire to earn independently and then feed off of a person's insecurity to keep them earning and meeting quotas. This has nothing to do with being good or supportive.

You will practically do the same thing to bring new people into the fold as you would to sell products.

It is a given that MLM recruiters tell the new people that they will start making money in only a month's time. However, it will take you a full month or more just to get set up. You must go through registration, receiving adequate training and wait for your products to arrive. Then there is the little thing of selling products. Then there is the matter of hiring new people for your down line. It can take months to see even a tiny bit of profit.

Multi-Level Marketing, on the surface, seems like a great plan. This is why so many people who are new to earning money on the Internet get lured into its web. Do not fall into the trap. The points made in this article are only the tip of the iceberg of why MLM is not a good bargain. If you do a little bit of research you'll be able to turn up plenty more.
