ATV Trails in Red Lion, Pennsylvania are scarce. Partially because ATVs are not allowed in most state parks. ATV trails are an exciting and unique way to enjoy the outdoors and challenge yourself. Pennsylvania trails offer dense forests, snowy mountains and great lake views. Nature is abundant in Red Lion, and one of the best ways to see it all is with an ATV. Whether you are riding private trails or public trails, you are likely to encounter trails for all levels of riders. - Private trails are best discovered through a network of ATV riders. The best way to learn about these private trails is to join an ATV riding club. There are a few ATV clubs in Pennsylvania. Joining an ATV riders club allows you to gain access to "club members only" trails and personal invitations to private property trail rides and events. These trails exist on private property and you won't find their locations listed on any websites or forums.

Commercial tracks offer safety, training and assistance. These commercial tracks are one of the best ways to introduce ATV riding to your family. - Neighboring Adams County is home to the Adams & Cumberland County ATV trails. These trails are available to ride during the summer only. There are 36 miles of ATV trails winding around the Big Flat and Pine Grove Furnace State Park. The Adams County trails are close to Piney Mountain and can be accessed through the parking area next to Shippensburg Road. These trails have some challenging mountainous terrains but there are also trails more suitable to less skilled riders. The more challenging trails include Fuzzy Trail, Grave Ridge, Rocky Pass, Fender Trail, Bear Hill, Staley Trail and the inside track of the Slate Quarry Road.
Note that the Ridge Road that goes through Piney Mountain is mostly designated to winter use. You are likely to find winter use only trails gated off during other parts of the year. This is the closest public ATV trail to Red Lion. - Red Lion, located in York County, is home to Codorus State Park, which consists of 100 acres of trails, lake shore, paths and forest. Trails are open at the end of the hunting season. Codorus State Park is nearby some private off-road tracks and makes for a great interim destination. You can stop and camp here on your way to nearby Adams County. Western RV Village in Carlisle, Pennsylvania is right by the ATV trails such as the infamous "chain-break hill."
