How do I Disassemble a Linksys WRE 54g?
- 1). Disconnect the WRE-54g from the power outlet. Unplug the Ethernet cable from the device. Turn it over so the back is facing you. Slide the power plate out of the main body of the device.
- 2). Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry up the four rubber pads on the back of the device.
- 3). Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the four screws underneath the rubber pads. Place the screws in a plastic bag for safekeeping.
- 4). Carefully pry apart the two halves of the WRE-54g. Slowly work your fingers around the edges until the two halves separate.
- 5). Disconnect the antenna cable and remove the system board from the casing; it should come free with a slight tug at the sides.
