  The city of Dalton, Georgia is not the most populated in the South, but its historic district is the home to several nightclubs that combine to make it a popular destination for area singles. • The Dalton Depot Rest & Trackside Tavern is a local staple on the singles scene. The club boasts a constantly rotating schedule of live entertainment including music by local and nationally-famed bands, and karaoke. The vibe of the space is fun and casual and is located in the midst of a Victorian-era train station. A large dance floor is surrounded by a large bar that serves specialty cocktails, a long list of fine whiskey and small batch bears. An on-site kitchen prepares and serves hamburgers, sandwiches, soups, appetizers and salads. The Dalton Depot Rest & Trackside Tavern is located in the heart of Dalton near several hotels.
  
  

Planet of the Grapes

• Just the name of this swanky wine bar gets plenty of attention from locals and tourists alike. The vibe of this establishment is distinctively upscale and that is the point. The crowd here is often middle-aged and well off in regard to money. Guests can relax in a number of areas within the space including an area that was meant to create the feel of a casual living room complete with fireplace and couches where singles can actually hear one another talk. Planet of the Grapes also features an attached gallery where guests can browse ever-changing displays and often enjoy live music. Breads, gourmet cheeses and chocolates all grace the simple menu here.
  
  

Blues Train Cafe

• Blues music is a staple of the Southern United States and it is celebrated in style at Blue Train Cafe. Guests of every age, color and style make up the crowd, creating a buzzing vibe that everyone can appreciate. Guests sit in large areas flanked by fancy bars that service everything from classic gin and tonics to martinis. The decor features a dark moody vibe decorated with giant mirrors and massive renderings of Blues heroes that include Muddy Waters, Billie Holiday and Bessie Smith. Live music is common at the club and food is served. Many of the menu items are also named after Blues singers, including B.B. King barbecue nachos and Bessie's Choo Choo wings. Many plates are designed for sharing making it easier to get to know someone new.
