How to Configure Norton 360 & VPN
- 1). Open Norton 360 by double-clicking the program icon on your computer's desktop or by selecting the Norton icon from the Windows task tray.
- 2). Update Norton 360 by selecting the "Run Live Update" menu option. Older versions of Norton 360 would inadvertently block all VPN traffic, independent of firewall rules.
- 3). Select the "Task and Settings" menu button and choose the "Advanced Settings" option.
- 4). Choose the "Firewall Protection Settings" option, select the "Add" menu button and choose the "VPN" application from the file chooser.
- 5). Select the "Permit" menu button and choose incoming and outgoing traffic followed by the "Next" button.
- 6). Choose the "Any Computer" menu button followed by the "Next" option.
- 7). Select the option to apply to "All Ports" and "All Types of Communication" followed by the "Next" menu button.
- 8). Enter a text description for the firewall rule and click the "Next," "Finish" and "Close" menu buttons to complete configuring Norton 360 for a VPN connection.
