Why Your Feline Needs a Cat Bed

Cat beds are a must for felines for several reasons.
Since the average animal spends up to eighteen hours each day sleeping, where this activity takes place can be a major concern.
Learn why your kitty needs to have his or her own sleeping place.
First, you won't have to share your bed with your pet.
Cats tend to seek warm, cozy spots and sleeping with you is often their first choice.
If you have allergy issues, this may prove to be uncomfortable for you.
Since felines are nocturnal, you may not appreciate one pouncing on your head or belly and waking you up.
And then there are those mysterious scratches on you that you don't remember getting since you were probably snoozing when a certain someone decided to use your body as a launching pad.
Cleanliness is another consideration.
While kitties are clean animals, they still can leave a pile of fur behind or worse, a few fleas.
Plus, you don't have to frantically fumble in the dark for a retching cat who is about to cough up a hairball to prevent it from landing on your sheets.
You probably do not want your baby using your upholstered furniture as a bed, either.
Nothing is worse than having an honored guest get up from your couch covered in hair, especially if that particular person doesn't share your love for kitties.
Or, you don't want your furry friend to yowl at or jump on your guest because they are in his or her favorite snoozing spot.
Cats crave a feeling of safety and security.
By giving your pet his or her own cat bed, your pet has a place to call its own that can be cuddled up in when the world or the family dog threatens.
You can even position the bed so that snoozing and watching the great outdoors are possible from the same comfy spot.
Some beds have features like heated pads, egg-crate mattresses or gel padding that can help improve movement for elderly or disabled animals.
Or, if you have a cold, drafty residence, a heated model can keep your animal more comfortable.
Others are integrated into cat furniture that can offer perches, scratching posts, and attached toys in addition to the sleeping quarters.
You can also find models that will add to your decor.
For example, you might want a miniature four poster bed that matches your four poster bed or one that is uniquely designed for a conversation piece.
Get your kitty a cat bed to make your life easier and your furry friend more comfortable.
