Cannibal

• For a truly disgusting costume, go as a cannibal. Wear street clothing and spatter it with red paint to represent blood. Use makeup to rub blood around your mouth and on your teeth. Push the effect to the next level by carrying around a fake severed arm that you can gnaw on from time to time. Hang a necklace of teeth around your neck and tuck a few fake severed fingers or bones into your pockets.
  
  

Little Red Riding Hood

• For a scary take on Little Red Riding Hood, go as the storybook character who never made it to her grandmother's house. Put on a dress and a red hooded cape and carry a basket. Then, make it look as though Red Riding Hood was unable to get past the wolf and got attacked instead. Use theatrical makeup to create slashes from the wolf's claws and put a little bit of fake blood dripping from the gashes. You can also paint on bite marks and stick on pieces of fur.
  
  

Alien Host

• Create a horrifying graphic image of an alien coming out of your body for an unforgettable costume. Depending on the effect you want to create, you can make the "alien" come out of your skin or out of your clothing. Find an alien toy and cut off the bottom part. Attach it to a shirt or your skin as though it is ripping its way out. Use latex makeup designed for wounds to make it look as though the skin has been torn around the base of the alien. Use fake blood all around the area for a gruesome effect. You can go as dramatic or as simple as you want with the costume, depending on your time and skill with makeup.
  
  

Pinhead

• Pinhead, a character in the "Hellraiser" series of horror films, presents a dramatic and scary image, with pins sticking out from around his head. Turn yourself into the character by painting your face white, even the eyelids. Create a latticework of translucent material that fits over your entire head and face; attach pins or nails to the web with super glue and fit it down over your face. Finish the costume with a long leather trench coat and black clothing.
