How to Remove Furniture Polish Stains From Upholstery
- 1). Blot up as much of the stain as possible if it is fresh with a clean cloth or paper towels. Don't push too hard on the fabric or you could push the polish in deeper and make the stain harder to remove.
- 2). Apply dry cleaning solvent to a clean dry cloth.
- 3). Blot the stain gently. Continue to apply more of the solvent and blot until the stain is no longer visible.
- 4). Rinse the area with a clean cloth dipped in a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water.
- 5). Place a fan nearby to help the upholstery dry faster.
