Five Tips To Achieve Younger Looking Eyes

As they say, the eyes are the windows to one's soul.
But apparently, it could also be the windows to one's age.
Unknown to many, the eye area is the first area of the face to show signs of skin ageing.
This area is one of the first areas that we see on a person, so we really have to pay extra care to our eye area to achieve a much youthful aura.
Let me share to you some ways on how to do so.
1.
Avoid rubbing your eyes.
As we age, the skin around our eyes loses its elasticity and it becomes even thinner due to collagen breakdown.
Rubbing and tugging of this delicate area due to allergies, crying, eye makeup application and removal can make the skin sag over time.
You can compare our eye area to a rubber band.
Constant tugging and pulling can make it lose its elasticity so avoid rubbing, and even touching your eye area.
2.
Avoid smoking.
Nicotine can narrow down the blood vessels in the face especially the skin under our eyes.
If our blood vessels become narrow, it is much more difficult for nutrients to be absorbed.
If it's not absorbed properly, it can lead to collagen breakdown and a wrinkly eye area.
3.
Stay out of the sun.
Just like any other parts of the face, unprotected exposure to the sun can cause our pigment producing cells to mature abnormally.
As an effect, age spots and pigmentation will develop in our skin.
Unprotected exposure to the sun's harmful UV rays is one of the main culprit in premature skin ageing so it's important to stay protected by wearing sunblock and wearing eyeglasses whenever going out.
4.
Be careful of what you're putting in the eye area.
The creams and cosmetics that you put on your eye area can affect your skin in a great way.
Because the skin is much thinner there, it absorbs substances much faster than elsewhere.
Some creams and cosmetics contain harmful ingredients so it's important to choose your eye products well.
5.
Don't skimp on sleep.
Sure, there are so many eye creams out there that promises youth in just seven days.
But if you don't get sufficient rest every day, no amount of cream can prevent dark circles and eye bags.
While it is true that eye creams can do the trick in improving the appearance of dark circles and eye bags, they can't really prevent and remove them.
Plenty of sleep is the key.
And it's free!
