Metallica joins bands like Smashing Pumpkins and Red Hot Chili Peppers as guest stars on The Simpsons.

In this picture from The Simpsons "Mook, the chef, the wife and her Homer," Otto is driving the school bus when he comes upon Metallica and their broken down tour bus. He offers to give them a lift, but Bart drives away with the school bus. Then Metallica hitches a ride with Moleman in the back of his truck, telling Otto never to listen to their music again. The scene ends with some hard guitar licks.
