Alaska Railway Tours
- With the introduction of the Alaska Railroad in 1923, the train became a popular method of travel. In 1947, the domed railway cars that became the model for Alaska Rail Tours were introduced in Illinois.
- The tour offers professional narration about the Alaska railroad route. Narration is GPS-triggered and accompanied by the Rail Manager's live presentation.
- Railroad cars feature two decks. The upper deck holds the main seating area as well as a small bar, while the lower deck offers dining service, restrooms, an open-air platform and a souvenir shop.
- Alaska Railway Tour's website allows travelers to design their own tour, including options for routes, hotels and sightseeing.
