How to Troubleshoot an iPhone With No Service
- 1). Check if "Airplane Mode" is turned off on your iPhone. A small airplane on the top of your iPhone screen will indicate if "Airplane Mode" is on. To turn off "Airplane mode," tap on "Settings" from your home screen and turn "Airplane Mode" off.
- 2). Include an area code for every phone number you dial or send a text message to using your iPhone. This includes phone numbers saved in your contact list.
- 3). Restore the software installed on your iPhone.
- 4). Power your iPhone off. Hold the "Sleep/Wake" button located at the top of your iPhone down for a few seconds, wait for a red slider to appear and slide to "Power Off" your iPhone.
- 5). Make sure you are not outside of your iPhone service provider's service area.
- 6). Contact your phone carrier if you continue to get a "No Service" message on your iPhone.
