Are you a true lover of all things designer? Does the love of all things high-fashion run from your ample shoe and bag collection all the way through to your interior design choices? If you're someone who really loves investing in all things designer, you will have more than likely already heard about the latest Philippe Starck 'flexible architecture' tile collection.

Philippe Starck has been known in the interior design world since the early 1990's when his unique and beautiful bathroom fittings came onto the market. He has worked with Duravit, Hoesch and Axor and you will find his name is attached to many a creative project that's marked in history as being revolutionary.
His desire for making practical rooms like the bathroom, also pleasurable rooms that are beautiful and free, is why his designs are never stagnant, and they continue to push the boundaries of what we know is possible within interior design.

Philippe Starck is a French designer with a real love of innovation and this collection is his very first ceramic tile offering. It is part of a collaboration with CeramicaSant'agostino and Capitol Designer Studio. The tiles are extremely advanced in their components and design for several different reasons. First and foremost you can apply the porcelain tiles as wall tiles or floor tiles, great news for those of us who like a perfectly seamless finish. And the floor tiles are usable both inside and outside, which means you have even more flexibility in where you start and finish your designs.
The tiles combine a sheen and a matte look, which means you've extra options with shading. And above all else, the real piece de resistance is the fact that the tiles have extra extended edging, so you can achieve a near invisible joint, no dirt prone grouting needed.

Philippe Starck is said to have approached a ceramic project because of a romantic story he envisioned where a man and a woman take natural materials to create something beautiful.
His desire to revolutionise the interior design sector created the flexible architecture collection.

If you've seen the tiles yourself you've probably been quite taken aback by how bright and beautiful they are. They are extremely unique in their design, but also incredibly flexible because they can be applied to so many surfaces in so many different settings and interiors.

If you've browsed a few of the promotional images accompanying this latest announcement about Philippe Starck designer porcelain tiles, you will see that the designs being used vary greatly. There are wall tiles that create an amazing textured and layered effect as some are inverted. There are entire rooms using porcelain tiles top to bottom and the overall look is infinitely bright, smooth and seamless.

As the tiles have only just been released, their application is something that can only really be considered at this point, as amateur and professional designers alike seek to get their hands on the innovative collection and make something unique and beautiful from it. How about a conservatory with floor tiles that continue outside to become patio tiles? How about a kitchen with a completely smooth floor tile and wall tile covering, no seams?
Wherever your imagination takes you with the flexible architecture collection, the tiles are available to buy right now so move fast to get your hands on some!
