How to Reduce Vertical Size of the Taskbar
- 1). Right-click on an empty area of the taskbar. If you see a check mark next to the "Lock the Taskbar" item, click the item once to remove the mark. If you do not, the taskbar is already unlocked and you may move on to the next step.
- 2). Hold your cursor over the top edge of the taskbar. The cursor will change from a pointer shape into a double-headed arrow.
- 3). Click once, hold your click and then drag your cursor downward until the height of the taskbar matches your preferred size.
- 4). Release your click to confirm the change.
- 5). Right-click on an empty area of the taskbar and select "Lock the Taskbar."
