    Vacuum

    • Vacuum all carpets on all floors, including carpeted stairwells. Make sure cleaning crews take extra care near the entrance and high traffic areas. Move, shake out and vacuum rugs. Vacuum the surface underneath the rugs. If using vacuums that have bags or canisters, empty the vacuum periodically. Keep at least one vacuum cleaner and vacuum supplies, such as vacuum cleaner bags, on site at all times.

    Trash

    • Empty all trashcans, properly disposing of old trash bags. Replace with fresh, unused bags. Disinfect and clean the inside of the garbage can periodically. Keep new trash bags to fit all sizes of trashcans on site for these tasks.

    Sweep and Mop

    • Sweep and mop, using the appropriate floor cleaner, all hard floor surfaces, to remove all dirt and grit. Keep a broom, dustpan, mop, bucket and floor cleaner on site for these tasks.

    Dusting and Glass Cleaning

    • Dust all horizontal surfaces. Ensure all foyer shelves are neat and organized. Use wood polish and a clean cotton cloth on wooden surfaces, such as tables and banisters. Clean glass with disposable paper towels and glass cleaner. Avoid using glass cleaner on wood surfaces or wood polish on glass surfaces. Keep a large supply of paper towels, glass cleaner, wood polish and clean cotton rags on site for completing these tasks.

    Kitchen and Bathrooms

    • Disinfect all countertops using a disinfectant cleaner or countertop cleaner. Thoroughly sweep and mop all floors. Clean all kitchen dirty dishes or load into dishwasher. Clean all bathroom fixtures. Keep toilet cleaner and paper towels on site for completing these tasks.
