What Is a Fast & Efficient Way to Mop a Cement Floor?
- 1). Prepare a solution of one part dish detergent and two parts water in a bucket. Agitate the solution with a mop to create suds.
- 2). Note the layout of the room or area to clean. Move any furniture, toys, or other items out of the room if at all possible. If not, crowd all of the items into one area.
- 3). Dip the mop into the soapy mixture and begin moving the mop head along the cement flooring starting in a top corner or edge of the room. Follow the same pattern throughout the room, concentrating on the heavily soiled areas. Keep cleaning in a back and forth motion until you mop the entire room. Be sure to mop the room in a pattern that allows you to avoid stepping onto the wet portion of the floor.
- 4). Allow the floor to air dry. Put all your furniture back in its place.
