How to Clean Finger Nail Remover Out of a Sink
- 1). Wipe up as much of the fingernail polish remover as possible from the sink to limit the amount of hazardous waste down the drain.
- 2). Wet the sponge with cold water. Squeeze 1 tbsp. of dishwashing liquid into the sink.
- 3). Scrub the sides and bottom of the sink to eliminate the potent smell of the fingernail polish remover from the sink.
- 4). Turn on the cold water faucet. Leave the water running for at least one hour to push the fingernail polish remover through the drain and eliminate the smell.
- 5). Rinse the sides and bottom of the sink with cold water. Wipe down the sink with a paper towel or dry cloth to eliminate the smell.
- 6). Open all of the windows in your kitchen to ventilate the area until the fingernail polish remover smell evaporates from your home.
- 7). Coat the sink with baking soda, and rinse the sink with hot water to neutralize odors.
