How to Catch a Voyeur

    • 1). Write down a detailed description of the voyeur as soon as you see him, including the time it happened, his clothing, facial features, size and height. Try to remember as many details as you can.

    • 2). Call the police and file a report right away. Have an officer take a look around your home immediately to see if she can spot the voyeur nearby or collect some evidence. Call a relative or friend to come stay with you if you feel uncomfortable being home alone.

    • 3). Keep the lights on in just one room. Change the room where you leave the lights on to trick the perpetrator. You may be able to catch a voyeur if you know specifically which room he'll be peeking into.

    • 4). Install motion senors and bright flood lights around your house. Point them at dark places close to the house and windows where you believe the voyeur may be lurking. Install a video surveillance system and alarms to catch the prowler.

    • 5). Be creative. Plant sticker bushes outside the windows where you think the voyeur may hide, for example. Hang wind chimes near a window that are hard to see in the black of night, but make a lot of noise. Adopt a dog that likes to bark when strangers approach the house.
