  Pennsylvania requires most businesses to have a sales tax license, and certain industries are required to get additional licenses in order to do business in Pennsylvania. • A sales tax license is required for most businesses in Pennsylvania. If you are selling a taxable product or service, then you will need to get and display this license in your place of business.
