Everyone goes through some stress during the holidays.
There is so much to do and so many shopping trips with people who are rude or who want to grab that one item you are looking at right out of your hands.
Perhaps the extended family that is coming over always causes problems at every holiday function.
There are some great ways to deal with these stressful situations if you know how to handle them.
The following are some tips to help you keep your cool during the stressful holidays: · Shopping - Sure, you can get some great black Friday deals if you get up at 3am and head out to the stores you want to purchase from.
Anyone who has done this knows that these stores are a haven for rude and pushy people.
Just look at the past where stampedes have injured people, pretty crazy right? The good news is that many chain stores and online stores are now offering their own versions of black Friday that allow you the comfort of shopping from your home instead of waking up in the wee hours of the morning to fight with a grandma who wants that same doll you are buying.
You do not need to wear elbow or knee pads with boxing gloves if you sit at your computer and make all of your purchases.
Plus, they are delivered right to door and many sites offer gift wrapping taking all of the work out of the process.
· Meal Preparation - Let us face it, the worst part about Christmas dinner is all of the cooking that has to be done.
Mother in law and other females may spend the day criticizing your meal choices after you have spent hours if not days in preparation.
Do not let them get to you.
There are two ways to avoid all the cooking stress.
The first is to prepare every that you can ahead of time such as pies and side dishes that can easily be heated up before the meal.
Only cook what you have to on the day.
The second is to have the meal delivered to house readymade.
There are many companies that offer a full Christmas dinner that you can either pick up or have sent to your home.
Everything has been prepared and you just let the company know how many people are to be dining.
This is the least stressful way to have a great meal without spending all your time in the kitchen.
The holidays can be a joyous occasion for those who do not have to do anything to prepare for them.
For those of us who have to work our fingers to the bone, why not cheat a little? Let someone else cook the food and wrap the gifts while you take all the credit for a fabulous holiday.
