Select a fruit bowl that goes well, both in size and design, with the size of the table and the number of guests it seats. If possible, choose a black bowl, since bright red strawberries become even more attractive against a black background. - 2

Inspect your strawberries, removing any unsightly ones. Gently clean the strawberries with cold water. - 3

Place clean, colored cotton towels in the bottom of the bowl if it is too deep for the amount of strawberries you are using. Fill the bowl with strawberries so that they completely cover any towels you may have used in the bowl. If you have enough strawberries, pile them up so that they appear ready to burst out of the bowl. - 1

Obtain large dark green leaves for placement on the table. Arrange them so that there is room for the strawberries to sit in them with the leaves still showing around the strawberries. Choose one or more large banana tree leaves for a tropical theme. - 2
