How to Wire a Pressure Control Using a Moto Rand Capacitor

    • 1). Shut off power to the water pump at the breaker box.

    • 2). Remove the screw holding the pump cover in place with a screwdriver and set the pump's cover aside.

    • 3). Locate the old capacitor at the base of the water pump and then lay the tip of the screwdriver across its terminals to release capacitor charge if there is any.

    • 4). Remove the capacitor terminals with the screwdriver and take the old capacitor out. Place the Moto Rand capacitor in and then connect the wires to the corresponding capacitor terminals.

    • 5). Set the cover back on and replace the retaining screw.

    • 6). Restore power to the water pump.
