    • 1). Fill the blue balloons either with air or helium to make the body for your blueberry girl. If you are using helium, secure the balloon to a weight or a chair before proceeding. For table decorations, do not over-fill the balloons so there is some give when you tape them down.

    • 2). Blow up a water balloon for her head, being careful not to over-fill it, and scale it to the size of your balloon. At this point, you can draw her face onto the balloon or print faces out on your computer and tape them onto the head.

    • 3). Cut hands and feet out of cardstock, making the wrists and ankles at least one inch long or print from your computer and cut them out. Draw any details you would like on the hands and feet now. At about half an inch, fold and crease the wrists and ankles and tape to the balloon body.

    • 4). Cut lengths of yarn for her hair and shorter lengths for her bangs and glue these to the balloon head.

    • 5). Draw clothing detail onto the body, such as her coat, buttons and pants with the permanent marker. Add any accessories such as gum or her award for chewing gum the longest.

    • 6). For floating party decorations, tie the blueberry girl balloons to chairs, railings or themed balloon weights.

For table pieces, tape about 1.5 inches from the knot around the base and press firmly onto a themed weight. This can be a clear box or jar filled with candy or a box shaped and decorated to look like a Wonka Bar.
