• Help the kids build a personalized photo collage for dad and frame it for them. Use a computer program or cut a variety of photos (the kids' favorites) by hand and place them on a mat board. Move them around until satisfied with the placement and then glue them in place. Take this mat board to a framing place and have them frame it. Or, if using the computer you can either leave the photos in color or change them to black-and-white or sepia tones for a timeless look and create a collage.

• If dad is a golfer have some golf balls laser engraved with a short phrase such as "World's Best Dad." If dad plays guitar look for items like a capo, new guitar strings, a guitar strap or even a new guitar (budget permitting). • Choose a series of books for dad in a genre he enjoys, whether it is mystery, western, political thriller or anything else, or a series the kids would like to read with dad, such as "The Chronicles of Narnia," "The Lord of the Rings" or "The Hunger Games."
