- 1). Begin by going to one of your local sports equipment stores such as Dick's Sporting Goods. They usually have a wide array of balls to choose from. There are so many different brand names, prices, and characteristics to golf balls, it is often difficult to choose. Golf balls are a very important part of your game so make sure you follow these steps.
- 2). First you need to take a step back and realize your budget, and skill level. Budget is the most important thing because unless you are a really skilled golfer, it's difficult to notice the difference between a 2 dollar and a 5 dollar ball. Skill level should be considered as well because if you stink, you will lose a lot more balls.
- 3). I am a 4 handicap golfer, which is pretty good. I choose to play Titleist PROv1 golf balls because they go further, and have better feel for me. They are also 40 dollars a dozen. If you think you can take advantage of this type of ball, and you can afford it, then buy it.
- 4). For most golfers, a dozen that costs 20 to 30 dollars will definitely suffice. You will be losing balls all the time, and it will make your day even more frustrating if each ball is worth 4 or 5 bucks. If you can find deals on golf balls, take full advantage of them! You will be a lot happier when your pocket is fuller at the end of the round, and your not worried about how many balls you lost.
