One of the most anticipated events in Iowa this summer is the 25th Anniversary for the film Field of Dreams, which was filmed in Dyersville. Kevin Costner, who starred in the Oscar-nominated film, will be on hand for the celebration, as well Today Show host Matt Lauer and sportscaster Bob Costas.

For the seventh year, the Adel Chamber of Commerce has organized this event to show off some of Iowa’s wineries during a night of fun. Live music and wine samples will be sold, food will be available and attendees will have a chance to purchase bottles of their favorite wines.

RAGBRAI stands for “Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa.” It’s in its 42nd year and is the largest, oldest and longest bicycle touring ride in the world. This is a ride, not a race and the 468 miles goes from the Missouri River border to the eastern edge of the Mississippi River.
