Open, High & Low Bar Definitions
- The bar chart is a graphical representation of the rise and decline of a stock's value. The x-axis records time, while the y-axis defines the value of a stock. The chart is also commonly referred to as an OHLC chart, or an open-high-low-close chart.
- The open value of a stock represents the price of the stock when it becomes available or open for trade.
- The high indicates the price of a stock is when it has reach its highest value during a specific period.
- The low defines the lowest price a given stock is worth within a given time frame.
