How to Build a Halloween Crypt
- 1). Designate an area to be the crypt such as a corner of a basement or a section of your yard.
- 2). Run a clothesline to section-off the area into a square shape. Place stakes or poles into the ground to hold the lines, if your crypt is outdoors.
- 3). Hang gray sheets over the sides of each line to form four walls. Drape an additional sheet over the top to enclose the crypt.
- 4). Paint the inside of the back sheet of the wall with glow-in-the-dark paint. Paint a silhouette of a ghost or person on the sheet.
- 5). Add some glow-in-the-dark painted handprints on the inside of the crypt on the other walls.
- 6). Position some black lights in the corners of the inside of the crypt to illuminate the paintings.
- 7). Scatter some rocks and chunks of concrete outside the front of the crypt in order to make it appear old and dilapidated. Paint some Styrofoam blocks gray if you do not have broken pieces of concrete. Break them into pieces.
- 8). Place fake cobwebs and spiders around the front of the crypt.
