Adam & Eve Craft for Sunday School
- Adam and Eve had to deal with the snake that tempted Eve to eat the apple of knowledge. Have the children make a snake out of construction paper. Make a paper chain with strips of paper about 2 inches wide and 10 inches long for the body of the snake. Glue each strip to attach and interlink each strip. On the first strip, glue on a red, forked tongue. Add two eyes made from red construction paper. Use a black marker to draw a vertical line through the eye to look like slits.
- After telling the story of Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden, have them make a picture using fingerpaints and fingerpaint paper. Use a finger to dip in to brown paint to make a tree stem. Clean finger and dip a thumb into green paint to make leaves for the tree by pressing the painted thumb on to the paper. Dip finger into red paint to make apples on the tree. Add fingerprint flowers or a Bible verse at the bottom of the picture.
- Teach children how God made Adam and Eve in his own image with this unique tinfoil craft. Tear off a piece of aluminum tinfoil for each child that is large enough to cover the face. Help them to smooth the tinfoil down on to their faces to capture their facial features. Carefully staple the impression onto a piece of construction paper.
- Reinforce the story of Adam and Eve with this craft that depicts the snake tempting Eve. Draw a tree, a picture of Eve and a snake. Have the children glue the pieces of Eve and the tree on to a piece of construction paper. Cut a slit in the tree. Pop the snake through the slit in the tree and then let the children pop the snake in and out to talk to Eve.
