    Allaire State Park

    • Allaire State Park in Farmingdale offers 45 tent and RV sites with no electric, water or sewer connections. The campground, which is open from April through October each year, includes bath and shower facilities. Allaire State Park has a steam engine train for rides through the facility, a 19th-century village, hiking and mountain biking trails and an interpretive center. The park also features a river for fishing and non-motorized boating and cross-country skiing and sledding during the winter months.

    Voorhees State Park

    • Voorhees State Park in Glen Gardner offers almost 50 camp sites for tents and RVs from April through October. The sites do not have any electric, water or sewer connections, but bathrooms and showers are available at the park. Voorhees State Park features an observatory with a 26-inch telescope for evening viewings. The park has hiking and mountain biking trails and ponds for fishing. During the winter months, visitors to Voorhees State Park can ski and sled. The park is also open for hunting during certain seasons.

    Cheesequake State Park

    • Camping is available at Cheesequake State Park in Matawan from April through October each year. The park features 53 sites for tents and RVs, but there are not electric, water or sewer connections at the campground. Bath and shower facilities are available, though. Cheesequake State Park includes amenities like hiking and mountain biking trails, a lake for boating, fishing and swimming and a playground. Only boats with electronic motors are allowed on the lake. During the winter, Cheesequake State Park offers visitors activities like sledding and cross-country skiing.
