On January 29, 2010, Houston high school teacher, Lindsay Garcia-Yazdi, 33, was charged with two counts of sexual abuse of a child as well one count of improper relationship with a student.
According to court documents, Garcia-Yazdi was a Spanish teacher at Alief Hastings High School when she had sexual contact with one of her students. The boy told investigators that the alleged sexual contact took place three times in the back of Garcia-Yazdi's minivan while parked at public parks and along streets.

Garcia-Yazdi, who was in her first year of teaching, has not returned to the school since being interviewed by school officials about the allegations.
