How to Reheat Macaroni & Cheese in a Crock Pot Slow Cooker
- 1). Spray the interior of the Crock Pot cooker with non-stick spray. This will keep the cheese from sticking to the sides and make clean-up easier.
- 2). Place the leftover macaroni and cheese in the slow cooker.
- 3). Add 1/4 cup of cream or milk to the macaroni and cheese. Stir to incorporate the liquid into the dish, separating any clumps of pasta. If the macaroni and cheese is still very thick, add up to 1/4 cup more of cream or milk.
- 4). Place the cover on the slow cooker and turn the temperature to low. Allow the macaroni and cheese to heat for at least 6 hours. You can use the high setting to cut this time in half.
- 5). Insert a food thermometer into the center of the macaroni and cheese. The thermometer should read 165 degrees Fahrenheit or higher. If the reading is too low, replace the lid and cook on high for one hour, as this should bring the dish to a safe temperature for leftovers.
